Zudem wurde behauptet, dass das neue Call of Duty Black Ops nicht nur im Vietnamkrieg sondern auch in Kuba, Süd-Afrika und in der iranischen Botschaft in London; es soll alles umfassen – vom zweiten

Als Releasedatum wurde der November 2010 genannt. Allerdings ist auch das nur ein Gerücht.

Activision lässt die Call of Duty-Reihe von 2 verschiedenen Studios entwickeln: Infinity Ward (Entwickler von den beiden Modern Warfare Teilen) und Treyarch (Entwickler von Call of Duty World at War).
